Eden Swim School is run by three qualified teachers, Karoline, Jane and Maja. They teach children from 20 months through to stage 10 of the National Plan for teaching swimming.
All children’s classes last for 30 minutes.
Parent & Child Classes
For children aged 20 months to 3 ½ years. Classes are held in the early afternoon. Parents are assisted with their child in the pool for basic water familiarisation.
Because of the pandemic a family member is required in the water until the pupils are confident enough to be assisted by their supporting adult from poolside. These classes are for children from 3½ up to school age and are in the early afternoon.
Up to 4 pupils are in a class with 1 teacher. By the time the pupils go to school we expect them to be water confident and a few of them will be swimming.
School Aged Classes
After school classes are for school children normally aged 4 and over in groups of 4, with one teacher. Because of the pandemic new beginners may need a supporting adult in the water with them. Classes are Monday to Friday in term time, from 3.45 to 6.15 pm.
